Step 2 PhilSys Registration at Sta. Monica Daycare Center
The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) NCR-Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) II collaborated with the Social Services Development Department (SSDD) - Quezon City to provide registration and ePhilID issuance services to unregistered children aged one (1) to four (4) in all day care centers in Quezon City, their respected family members, and other constituents. This initiative will be helpful to the day care families and other citizens who are incapable to visit PhilSys mobile registration centers.
A letter issued dated 15 March 2024 by Ms. Eileen M. Velasco, Officer-in-charge of Quezon City SSDD, allowed the PSA to conduct PhilSys registration at 301 daycare centers in Quezon City with the names of Daycare Worker (DCW) in charge of the facility.
On 18 March 2024, two (2) daycare centers in Barangay Sta. Monica officially started. Throughout the three-day registration period, a total of 24 children aged one (1) to four (4) were successfully registered and five (5) of them obtained their ePhilID. On the other hand, 53 individuals aged five (5) and up also registered whereas 46 received their ePhilID.
The approval of PhilID registration in all city-run childcare institutions stresses inclusive coverage, which improves efficiency when providing government services. The PSA NCR-PSO II and the Local Government Unit have a single goal: to bring services closer to QCitizens.
