The economy of the Municipality of Pateros grew by 3.9 percent in 2023 from its 2022 level, slower than the 5.4 percent growth recorded in the previous year. The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the municipality was estimated at PhP 9.14 billion. (Figure 1)

Among the industries, the fastest growth were observed in Human health and social work activities with 11.9 percent, followed by Transportation and storage with 8.5 percent, and Other services with 7.5 percent. On the other hand, Manufacturing and Public administration and defense; compulsory social security experienced a decline of 0.1 percent and 5.9 percent, respectively. (Figure 2)

The Provincial Product Accounts (PPA) has been the mechanism of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) to compile the annual estimates of GDP by province and Highly Urbanized City (HUC), consistent with the National and Regional Accounts of the Philippines. In 2024, following the successful PPA compilation of the National Capital Region, the PSA releases for the first time the PPA results for all 82 provinces and 33 HUCs across the country.
