Makati City - November 06, 2024 — The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) PhilSys Team proudly delivered the Philippine National ID to Makati City Mayor Abby Binay in her office today, marking a significant moment in the National ID System’s rollout in the city. The PhilSys team, led by Lee-Cris R. De Jesus, PhilSys Focal Person, and joined by Information Systems Analysts Richard O. Lunar and Rinzel O. Portento, personally handed over Mayor Binay’s National ID.

Mayor Binay expressed her gratitude for receiving her National ID, sharing a light-hearted moment by acknowledging that her ID may come as a surprise to others who are still awaiting theirs. “I know some may ask why I have mine already,” Mayor Binay commented with a smile. “But this is a sign of progress. Since I’ve received mine, it assures everyone that their IDs are on the way—it’s not fake news. The delivery system is working, and soon, everyone will have theirs too.”
