Makati City, Philippines – January 20, 2025. The Philippine Statistics Authority-National Capital Region Provincial Statistical Office III (PSA-NCR PSO III) successfully conducted a two-day refresher training for its Registration Kit Operators (RKOs) and Registration Assistants (RAs) on January 16-17, 2025, at the NCR PSO III Conference Room. The training aimed to further enhance the skills and knowledge of the registration team before their deployment for the first quarter of 2025.
The event commenced with a heartfelt opening ceremony featuring an inspiring message from Mr. Narciso H. Dino, Supervising Statistical Specialist of NCR PSO III and Officer-in-Charge, following the invocation and national anthem. Mr. Dino emphasized the importance of the team’s role in the continued success of the National ID System.
The first day focused on setting the stage for effective operations. Mr. Ronden James Waquez, Administrative Clerk, presented the training overview, objectives, expectations, and the roles and responsibilities of each registration personnel.
Mr. Richard O. Lunar, Information Systems Analyst I, led discussions on critical topics, including:
1. Operational Procedures: Registration of children below 5 years old and generating the Digital National ID.
2. Policies and Guidelines: Addressing duplicate registration, issuance of paper-format IDs, updating demographic information, and manual verification processes.
3. National ID Rebranding and PACD Updates: Strategies for public awareness and resolving public concerns.
The session concluded with a presentation by Ms. Rinzel Portento, Information Officer I, on registration quality issues and solutions derived through the Manual Verification System (MVS). Day One (1) ended with an engaging Q&A session and a memorable group photo.
Day two (2) provided a more intensive exploration of technical updates and system walkthroughs. Highlights included:
New System Features: Ms. Portento presented the enhanced features of Registration Client Version 1.4.8.
Technical Sessions: Led by Mr. Lee-Cris R. De Jesus, Registration Officer II, covering access rights, uploading registration packets, and technical protocols.
Data Privacy and Security: Discussed by Ms. Marnelli A. Lansangan, Statistical Specialist II, to ensure compliance with privacy standards in handling sensitive data.
The afternoon session featured a collaborative online discussion on the use of the National ID, authentication processes, and eVerify with the RSSO Registration Officer III, Mr. Ryan Miguel Acejas. Additionally, Ms. Rinzel Portento and Mr. Richard Lunar demonstrated the functionalities of the FindMyTRN Web Portal and the Where is My National ID? system. The final topic on the 2025 Tracking System was meticulously explained by Mr. De Jesus, providing participants with the skills needed for efficient tracking of registration activities.
The training concluded with closing remarks from Ms. Lansangan, expressing gratitude to all participants for their enthusiasm and active participation. The event ended with a group photo, capturing the energy and commitment of the team as they embark on their mission for 2025.
