
City of Makati, Philippines — 19 March 2025 — The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) - NCR PSO III recently conducted a successful three-day training from March 12 to 14, 2025, titled "Re-Echo of Civil Registry System Outlets and National ID Registration Centers on Validation of Supporting Documents/IDs". The training aimed to equip Registration Kit Operators (RKOs) and Registration Assistants (RAs) with the skills to effectively validate the authenticity of documents and IDs presented during National ID registration and/or updating.
The training was strategically divided into three days to ensure that all 28 RKOs and RAs could participate without disrupting the daily registration process. This setup allowed continuous operations while guaranteeing that every staff member could gain valuable knowledge and hands-on experience.
The program commenced with Opening Remarks delivered by Supervising Statistical Specialist and Officer-in-Charge, Narciso H. Dino, emphasizing the importance of document validation in maintaining the integrity of the National ID registration process. The Closing Remarks were delivered by Senior Statistical Specialist Joel A. Pertez, who commended the dedication of the participants and encouraged them to apply what they had learned.
Throughout the training, Registration Officer III Ryan Miguel V. Acejas, Registration Officer II Lee-Cris R. De Jesus, Information Systems Analyst I Richard O. Lunar, and Statistical Specialist II Marnelli A. Lansangan served as resource speakers, delivering comprehensive presentations and hands-on activities to enhance the participants’ skills.
One of the highlights of the training was the positive attitude displayed by the participants, who demonstrated enthusiasm and eagerness to learn throughout the sessions. Their active participation and willingness to acquire new skills contributed significantly to the overall success of the training.
The training concluded successfully, equipping the RKOs and RAs with enhanced knowledge and practical skills to efficiently verify documents and IDs. With their newly acquired skills and positive mindset, they are now more prepared to perform their duties at their respective registration centers, contributing to the credibility and accuracy of the National ID system.
