09 December 2024 – City of Makati. In the observance of the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW), the Philippine Statistics Authority NCR Provincial Statistical Office III (PSA NCR PSO III) in partnership with Makati Social Welfare Department, conducted a seminar entitled, “Oryentasyon ng Batas Laban sa Karahasan sa Kababaihan at Kabataan.”

Resource Speaker Ms. Princess Joanna V. Manaois, RSW of Community Mobilization Hub Division, Makati Social Welfare Department, along with PSA NCR PSO III employees were warmly welcomed by Mr. Joel C. Pertez, Senior Statistical Specialist.

Ms. Princess Joanna V. Manaois, orchestrated an interactive seminar, allowing participants to share their most admired female icons and express pride in those they follow as role models with their virtues.

Moreover, through her expertise in the field, the seminar serves its main purpose of raising awareness to every participants about the various forms of violence against women and empower them to protect women’s rights and promote gender equality. Sensitive topics were well presented and discussed with utmost genuity and professionalism.

Rounding up the seminar were encouragement from the participants to share their reflections on how they can contribute to end the violence against Women.

The PSA NCR PSO III formally thanked Ms. Manaois by awarding her a Certificate of Appreciation for sharing the knowledge and information and supporting the agency in its 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW).
