Taguig City – 04 December 2024. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) NCR PSO III proudly announces the successful registration of its youngest National ID holder to date, a 7-day-old infant who has already been issued her ePhilID. Born on November 27, 2024, the infant was officially registered under the National ID System at a registration center in Barangay South Daang Hari, Taguig City. This milestone underscores PSA’s commitment to making National ID registration accessible for Filipinos of all ages, including newborns.

The infant’s mother, 26-year-old Lolita C. Burce of Block 3, Purok 13, Barangay South Daang Hari, expressed her gratitude for the National ID  team’s efficient service. According to Gng. Burce, “Nagpapasalamat po ako sa inyo dahil registered na ang anak ko. Malaking tulong po ito kasi naglalakad ako ng Certificate of Live Birth, at yung transaction slip ay isa sa mga requirements sa pagkuha ng Local Civil Registry. Mahalaga rin po ang pagkakaroon ng National ID kasi ito ay valid ID na magagamit sa lahat ng transaction, sa pribado man o pampublikong ahensya.” She added that having a National ID simplifies processes, such as securing a PSA Birth Certificate, as it eliminates the need for online appointments.

This landmark registration, complete with the issuance of the ePhilID, demonstrates PSA’s dedication to providing valid proof of identity to all Filipinos from the earliest stages of life. The National ID program continues to empower individuals and families by streamlining access to government services.
