19 April 2024 - Philippine Statistics Authority National Capital Region Provincial Statistical Office II (PSA NCR PSO II) lectured daycare workers on the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) registration for pupils aged one (1) to four (4) and family members in the Brgy. Tañong, Marikina City.
“PSA continues to extend its efforts in inclusivity by providing a child-friendly registration process and services through PhilSys,” Ms. Helen L. Adolacion, NCR PSO II Officer-In-Charge, said in her opening remarks.
Speakers Mr. Brian B. Corpuz, Information System Analyst I (ISA I), and Mr. Ivan G. Mabayao, PhilSys focal person, discussed the guidelines, processes, and list of requirements needed to register children successfully.
PhilSys-registered parents or guardians must accompany children to link the PhilSys Serial Number (PSN) to authenticate children’s registration.
Twenty-seven daycare workers actively participated and expressed their desire and assurance for implementing the PhilSys registration for children.
Questions during the Q&A were addressed, specifically on lost Transaction Reference Numbers (TRN), late issuance of physical ID cards, and the paper-based electronic PhilID (ePhilID).
On the other hand, the PSA NCR PSO II Civil Registration Unit informed the participants of a free civil registration lecture, specifically for those who have problems with their birth certificates, which is one of the requirements in PhilSys Registration.
