30 September 2023 – QUEZON CITY, PHILIPPINES. The October 2023 Consumer Expectations Survey (CES) third-level training was held on 29–30 September 2023 by the Philippine Statistics Authority National Capital Region Provincial Statistical Office II, which covers Quezon City and the City of Marikina. Nine statistical researchers (SRs) and eight office personnel attended this event at the 9th-floor Regional Statistical Services Office National Capital Region Conference Room.

The October 2023 CES is to be undertaken in 56 provinces representing all regions except in Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.

The CES is a household-based survey on consumer’s assessments of their family income, financial situation, and the economic condition of the country. It is administered on a sample basis at the household level, drawn through stratified multi-stage random sampling with a total sample of about 5,000 households. The CES is a complementary survey to the Business Expectation Survey (BES) of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP). A total of 395 households in Quezon City and 97 households in the City of Marikina were drawn as samples. The enumeration is scheduled from 02 October to 13 October 2023.  -Regional Statistical Services Office-NCR PSO II
