24 May 2025, City of Taguig – The Philippine Statistics Authority – NCR PSO III actively participated in the Mobile Birth Registration activity spearheaded by the City Civil Registry Office of Taguig City. This initiative aimed to bring government services closer to the community and further strengthen partnerships with local stakeholders.

The National ID registration was held at the Purok Dos Multi-Purpose Building in Upper Bicutan, where many residents, particularly children and youth, availed themselves of the service. Most registrants were between the ages of five (5) and eighteen (18). Several parents expressed their appreciation, noting that the registration enabled them to proceed with the late registration of their children's birth certificates—a crucial step in securing their legal identity. One parent shared her joy that her 2-year-old daughter could now be included in the birth registration process, thanks to her successful National ID registration. This highlights the critical role National ID System plays in enabling access to essential civil documents and services.

The team also took the opportunity to inform and educate registrants about the three forms of the National ID: the physical card (PVC), the printable National ID in paper form, and the Digital National ID. Clients were particularly pleased to learn that the digital version is widely accepted across all transactions and can be accessed easily through mobile devices.  This initiative underscores the PSA’s commitment to making identification services more accessible, especially to underserved sectors. By empowering young Filipinos with valid proof of identity, the National ID system facilitates easier access to government services and promotes social inclusion.

This accomplishment reflects the dedication of the PhilSys team to its mission of building a robust and inclusive identification system for all Filipinos.
