03 February 2025 – City of Makati. PSA NCR PSO III kicks-off celebration for the 35th Civil Registration Month with a theme "Building a Resilient, Agile, and Future-Fit Civil Registration and Vital Statistics System."
Pursuant to Proclamation No. 682, s. 1991 “Declaring the Month of February of Every Year as Civil Registration Month” issued by then President Corazon C. Aquino dated January 28, 1991. The celebration aims to remind every Filipino Citizen their duty to register acts and events concerning status of persons and instill awareness and appreciation of the legal, administrative and statistical values of civil registry documents.
The month-long celebration started with a community parade followed with a Thanksgiving Mass, officiated by Rev. Fr. John Patrick Calimlim.
A short program was also conducted in the afternoon wherein Mr. Narciso H. Dino, Supervising Statistical Specialist and Officer-in-Charge, warmly welcomed the participants. Highlighting the program was a Lecture on CRVS 101 conducted by the Civil Registration Unit/team consisting of Ms. Esperanza Molina, Ms. Narcisa H. Balladares, Ms. Mae Ann G. Habijan, and Ms. Dulcenea D. Baguyo, all Registration Officers I who collectively joined forces to enlighten the audience on the frequently ask questions regarding civil registration services.
Summing-up the program was an awe-inspiring and ever-grateful remarks from Mr. Joel C. Pertez, Senior Statistical Specialist.
