FOURTH QUARTER OF 2021 BIRTHS

A total of 378,370 live births were registered in the Philippines for the fourth quarter of 2021. Among these births, 44,006 (11.6%) were from the National Capital Region (NCR). Meanwhile, 1,233 birth occurrences were recorded in the City of Mandaluyong which was 73 or 6.3 percent higher than the same quarter of the previous year with 1,160. (See Figure 1 and Table 4)

 

In this quarter, the majority of registered births occurred in the month of October, which accounted for 437 birth occurrences or 35.4 percent of the total registered births. This was followed by November with 403 (32.7%) and December with 393 (31.9%). (See Figure 2 and Table 5)

 

Furthermore, the monthly average of registered live births for the fourth quarter reached 411, wherein November and December are lower at 1.9 percent and 4.4 percent, respectively. Meanwhile, October was recorded 6.3 percent higher than the monthly average record. (See Figure 3 and Table 6)

 

On the other hand, for this quarter, both months of November and December registered the lowest daily average of birth occurrences with 13 births, while October registers with 14 births. (See Figure 4 and Table 7)

 

On the average, about 13 babies were born every day in the City of Mandaluyong for the fourth quarter of 2021. (See Table 1)

 

FOURTH QUARTER OF 2021 MARRIAGES

More than 100,000 marriages took place in the Philippines for the fourth quarter of 2021. Among these marriages, 13,966 (13.5%) were from NCR. Meanwhile, 317 marriage occurrences were recorded in the City of Mandaluyong which was 68 or 27.3 percent higher compared to the registered marriages in the same quarter of 2020 with 249.  (See Figure 5 and Table 8)

 

The number of registered marriages from October to December 2021 has an upward trend. Within this quarter, the month of December recorded the highest marriage occurrences with 134 (42.3%) of registered marriages. Followed by November with 99 (31.2%) and October with 84 (26.5%). (See Figure 6 and Table 9)

 

Furthermore, the monthly average of registered marriages for the fourth quarter reached 106 occurrences, wherein October and November are lower at 20.8 percent and 6.6 percent, respectively. Meanwhile, December was recorded 26.4 percent higher than the monthly average record. (See Figure 7 and Table 10)

 

Among this quarter, the month of December recorded the highest daily average of marriage occurrences with four (4) marriages, followed by October and November with three (3) marriages per day. (See Figure 8 and Table 11)

 

On the average, about three (3) marriages took place every day in the City of Mandaluyong for the fourth quarter of 2021. (See Table 2)

 

FOURTH QUARTER OF 2021 DEATHS

Nearly 200,000 deaths were registered in the Philippines for the fourth quarter of 2021. Among these deaths, 20,619 (10.4%) were from NCR. Meanwhile, 599 death occurrences were recorded in the City of Mandaluyong which is higher by 10.7 percent (58) from the registered deaths in the same quarter of the previous year (541). (See Figure 9 and Table 12)

 

For this quarter, the total number of registered deaths has a downward trend. The month of October was recorded the highest death occurrences with 240 (40.1%), followed by November with 182 (30.4%), and December with 177 (29.5%). (See Figure 10 and Table 13)

 

Furthermore, the monthly average of registered death occurrences for the fourth quarter reached 200 wherein November and December are lower at 9.0 percent and 11.5 percent, respectively. Meanwhile, October was recorded 20.0 percent higher than the monthly average record. (See Figure 11 and Table 14)

 

Among this quarter, the month of October recorded the highest daily average deaths with eight (8) deaths, followed by November and December with six (6) deaths. (See Figure 12 and Table 15)

 

 

On the average, about seven (7) deaths occurred every day in the City of Mandaluyong for the fourth quarter of 2021. (See Table 3)
