Three (3) births daily in the third quarter of 2021

The number of babies born in the Philippines for the third quarter of 2021 reached to 366,070. The National Capital Region (NCR) contributed 12.3 percent or 45,014 to this number. Meanwhile, 314 babies or 0.7 percent of the babies born in NCR for this quarter were from the City of San Juan. This was a decrease of 20.1 percent from the registered live births in the city in the same period of 2020 with 393.

 

There were 107 registered births in the City of San Juan in September 2021. Though lower than the same period of the preceding year by 25.2 percent, it was still the month with the greatest number of birth occurrences for the third quarter of 2021. It contributed 34.1 percent to the total number of births registered in the city in the same quarter.

 

This was immediately followed by August with 33.1 percent, or 104 births registered. This has a decrease rate of 14.0 percent from the number of births registered in the city in the same month of the preceding year. Lastly, the remaining 32.8 percent or 103 births were recorded in July and lower than the previous year by 20.2 percent.

One hundred five (105) babies were given birth in the city on a monthly average which corresponds to 3 births daily. Furthermore, the month of September was able to exceed this number by 1.9 percent.

 

July recorded the greatest number of marriages

A total of 67,089 marriages were registered in the Philippines for the third quarter of 2021. NCR contributed 10.1 percent of this number or 6,804. Furthermore, 0.5 percent or 37 marriages conducted in NCR took place in San Juan City. This has a decrease rate of 15.9 percent from 44 which was registered on the same period of the preceding year.

 

There were 28 marriages conducted in San Juan City in July 2021. This has been the most preferred month for marrying which contributed 75.7 percent of the total number of marriages conducted in the city for the third quarter of 2021. This was also an increase of 64.7 percent from 17 marriages which was recorded in the same month of the previous year.

 

The month of September recorded nine (9) marriages or 24.3 percent which exhibited a decrease rate of 47.1 from the previous year. Meanwhile, there were no recorded marriages in the city in August.

On an average, 12 couples were getting married in the city monthly which corresponds to 0.40 daily. Furthermore, the month of July was higher than the monthly average by 133.3 percent.

 

15.1 percent increase in the number of registered deaths

The Philippines recorded 285,852 deaths in the third quarter of 2021. From this figure, 10.9 percent or 31,196 death occurrences were registered in NCR. Moreover, 0.95 percent or 297 deaths from NCR were from San Juan City. The number of death occurrences in the city for the third quarter of 2021 showed an increase rate of 15.1 percent from 258 which was recorded in the city in 2020.

 

There were 111 death occurrences in San Juan City in September 2021. This corresponds to 37.4 percent of the total number of deaths registered in the city for the third quarter of 2021, hence the month with the greatest number of death occurrences in the same period. This was also higher than the previous year by 30.6 percent.

 

The month of August recorded 106 deaths which corresponds to 35.7 percent of the total number of deaths registered in the city for the third quarter of 2021. This is also higher than the previous year by 3.9 percent. Moreover, 80 deaths or 26.9 percent were registered in July and higher than the previous year by 12.7 percent.

Ninety-nine (99) deaths occurred in the city monthly in the third quarter of 2021. The months of September and August recorded numbers that were higher than the monthly average by 12.1 and 7.1 percent, respectively. Meanwhile, three (3) deaths happened daily in the same quarter of 2021.
