11 March 2024 – Quezon City. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) NCR- Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) II, in partnership with Quezon City University (QCU) San Bartolome Campus, successfully conducted a Data Dissemination Forum on Gender Statistics for QCU students last 05 March 2025. This event was held at the QCU Academic Building, in celebration of Women's Month and the University's 31st Founding Anniversary.

The forum aimed to empower QCU students by highlighting the importance and purpose of statistics in national economic growth and improved living standards. Additionally, it raised awareness about the role of statistical information in shaping decisions, policies, and programs by administrators and national leaders.

Ms. Jenny G. Amora, Senior Statistical Specialist from PSA NCR PSO II, led the session. She provided in-depth discussions on population, labor and employment, and vital statistics. Ms. Amora's lecture offered valuable insights into the state of the economy and population, emphasizing statistical gender- related inequalities in the Philippines.

The forum was well-attended by students and professors, who actively participated in the discussions. Attendees received tokens of appreciation from the NCR PSO II office.

Ms. Amora concluded by highlighting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities). She emphasized that these goals can be achieved through informed and statistically literate individuals who can analyze and understand data to address national issues.
