The 2022 ASPBI is one of the designated statistical activities of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), which aims to generate essential statistics for economic planning and analysis. It is specifically designated to collect and generate information on the levels, structure, performance, and trends of economic activities of the formal sector of the country’s economy. The data collected from the 2022 ASPBI will serve as basis from which the government and the private sector formulate policies and economic development plans. The 2022 ASPBI is the 50th in a series of annual surveys of establishments in the Philippines. Sample establishments will be given options regarding their preference for responding to the survey. These include the provision of physical or electronic copy of the survey form (pdf fillable or excel) and the use of online questionnaire. The office will strictly implement minimum health protocols such as wearing of facemask, hand-sanitizing, and physical distancing as protective measure against COVID-19 for the whole duration of the survey operations. The PSA ensures strict confidentiality of information gathered across all censuses and surveys conducted by the agency, and shall not be used for purposes of taxation, investigation or regulation as provided for under Section 26 of Republic Act 10625, also known as the Philippine Statistical Act of 2013, and pursuant to Republic Act 10173 or the Data Privacy Act of 2012. In addition, the PSA will only release data in the form of summaries and statistical tables. The PSA NCR PSO II has a total of 2,878 and 223 sample establishments in Quezon City and City of Marikina, respectively. To ensure collection of accurate responses for the survey through proficient execution of the enumeration process, hired Statistical Researchers, Receipt and Control Clerk and other involved employees underwent training on the survey’s definitions and concepts. Personnel involved were also taught of the proper way of transcribing financial statement in the survey form, specifically concerning revenue, expenses, assets, and inventories of the sample establishments. The enumeration is scheduled to be conducted on 17 April 2023 with 2022 as reference period. Survey results are targeted to be released one (1) year after the distribution of questionnaires.
