05 July 2024 – Makati City. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) is pleased to announce that Ambassador Carlos C. Salinas, the esteemed founder of Philippine Transmarine Carriers (PTC), IMO Goodwill Maritime Ambassador, and a Lifetime Achievement Awardee by the WMOC Group of Companies in grateful recognition of his exemplary leadership and significant contributions to the development of the Philippine Shipping and Manning Industry has successfully registered for the Philippine National ID today, July 5, 2024. He demonstrated commendable civic responsibility by taking part in this national campaign.

Ambassador Salinas exemplified determination and commitment by participating in the registration process. His active involvement underscores the importance of the National ID system in fostering a more inclusive and efficient society.

His participation in this government-mandated project sends a powerful message about the importance of this initiative. The National ID is a vital tool for promoting social and economic development, and we encourage all citizens to register and be part of this transformative program.

Ambassador not only registered themselves but also took the opportunity to encourage all PTC employees to participate in the National ID registration. They emphasized the benefits of having a National ID, including easier access to government services, enhanced security, and streamlined processes in various sectors.  He believes in the vision of the National ID system and its potential to improve the lives of Filipinos; thus, he urges all his employees and fellow citizens to register and support this important initiative.

The PSA continues to work tirelessly to ensure that the registration process is accessible and convenient for all Filipinos, regardless of age or physical condition. Mobile registration units and priority lanes for senior citizens and persons with disabilities are available to accommodate those with special needs.
