Makati, Philippines - July 8, 2024 — Demonstrating the Philippine Statistics Authority's (PSA) commitment to inclusivity and accessibility, the PhilSys registration team recently extended their services to the home of Nanay Emily D. Andalis, a 61-year-old stroke patient.

Nanay Emily has been bedridden and struggling with mobility since her stroke, making it difficult for her to participate in the regular National ID registration process. Her husband, Tatay Angel Andalis, reached out to the PSA-PhilSys registration team, requesting a home visit to ensure Nanay Emily could still obtain her National ID.

Understanding the importance of the National ID for accessing government services and benefits, especially for those with medical conditions, the PSA-PhilSys team promptly responded. The team visited the Andalis residence in Barangay Poblacion, where they conducted the registration process for Nanay Emily.

Given her condition, Nanay Emily faces significant challenges. She has difficulty moving the left side of her body and spends most of her time lying down as she finds it hard to sit up or walk. Despite these challenges, the registration was completed successfully, ensuring that Nanay Emily is now included in the National ID system.

Tatay Angel emphasized the necessity of the National ID for accessing essential services and financial assistance from the Makati Local Government Unit (LGU). With Nanay Emily's medical condition, having the National ID will significantly ease the process of obtaining the necessary support and benefits.

The PSA remains committed to reaching every Filipino, regardless of their circumstances, to ensure that everyone can benefit from the National ID system. This initiative reflects the PSA's dedication to making government services more accessible and inclusive for all.
