The Philippine Statistics Authority NCR Provincial Statistical Office II was invited by the GMA Kapuso Foundation to support its long running project, the Unang Hakbang sa Kinabukasan (UHSK), by helping with the repacking of UHSK bags and school supplies. The aforementioned activity commenced last March 21, 2023 and the operation will run until May 31, 2023 at the GMA Kapuso Foundation Warehouse, 366 GMA Compound Barangay Culiat, Tandang Sora, Quezon City. The warehouse can accommodate 80 volunteers per day. On March 29, 2023, 18 representatives from PSA NCR PSO II have repacked a total of 720 UHSK bags. The GMA Kapuso Foundation launched the UHSK Project which intends to motivate incoming Kinder to Grade 1 students from far-flung and underprivileged areas nationwide by providing them UHSK backpacks containing a complete set of school materials that includes: 5 notebooks, 2 pads of papers, 2 pencils, a sharpener, an eraser and a set of crayons. In 2021, the following provinces and cities were UHSK beneficiaries: Lanao Del Sur, Sulu, Basilan, Laguna, Cagayan Valley, Isabela, La Union, Rizal, Aurora, Samar, Palawan, Cavite, Surigao Del Norte, Agusan Del Sur, Surigao Del Sur, Davao De Oro, Davao Occidental, Negros Occidental, Iloilo, South Cotabato, General Santos, Maguindanao, Antique, Malabon, Lanao del Norte, Quezon City, Malabon, Caloocan, Las Pinas and Laguna.
