NCR PSO II exemplifies their Environmentalist Spirit during Plant Run 2023

17 September 2023 – Tanay, Rizal Province. As part of NCR PSO II’s environmental conservations commitment, a total of five employees from NCR PSO II participated in the 2023 Plant Run on 17 September 2023 at Yes City in Tanay, Rizal. The 2023 Plant Run is a nationwide activity, spearheaded by the Civil Service Commission (CSC), in the celebration of its 123rd Founding Anniversary. Simultaneously, the 2023 Plant Run was held in 16 regions nationwide—seven in Luzon, three in Visayas, and six in Mindanao.

In his keynote address, CSC Chair Karlo Alexei B. Nograles expressed his unwavering support for this environmental endeavor. Subsequently, the participants were briefed about the activity and they started the trekking by seven in the morning, followed by tree planting activity. Almost twice the number of expected participants came to the event. Aside from the Philippine Statistics Authority, various government agencies and non-government organizations were present in the event. The 2023 Plant Run aims to raise funds for the Pamanang Lingkod Bayani program. This program intends to commend government workers who died in the line of duty through the provision of one-time financial assistance plus scholarship opportunities to their family members. -RSSO-NCR Provincial Statistical Office II
