QUEZON CITY, PHILIPPINES - NCR PSO II (Quezon City & City of Marikina) PhilSys Team, headed by Chief Statistical Specialist Apolinar F. Oblea, Civil Registration Unit/PhilSys Supervisor and Focal Person meet with the Department of Education National Capital Region Schools Division Superintendent of Quezon City to coordinate in the conduct of Step 2 Registration to schools, which includes elementary and high school students, teachers and other school personnel not yet registered to the system. The school registration campaign aims to increase the number of registrants from schools that support the conduct of PhilSys institutional registration and its benefit for children.
With the memorandum signed by Schools Division Superintendent Jenilyn Rose B. Corpuz, CESO V, Philippine Identification System Institutional Registration & ePhilID Issuance in schools in Quezon City carry on the registration to cover school premises and register students 5 years old and over. As of March 2, 2023, there were 25 schools already visited and registration is still on-going in Quezon City with 7,850 school children registered while 462 in the City of Marikina. Days before the registration, NCR PSO II provide parents’ consent form to be accomplished aside from the PhilSys Form1 to partner institution and provide the enforcement of data privacy.
With the PhilID, this serves as valid proof of identity which help ease transactions with both government and private sector through easier validation and authentication of a person's identity.
