Employees of PSA NCR passed through busy streets as they parade topromote and signal the start of the 33^rd Civil Registration Month

A simultaneous parade in all six PSA-NCR Offices was organized on 01 February 2023 to signal the start of the month-long celebration of the 33^rd Civil Registration Month (CRM).  In Quezon City, the PSA RSSO NCR and Provincial Statistical Office II  (NCR PSO II) joins hands in the conduct of the CRM parade that passed through residential areas, SM North, and EDSA in Barangay Ramon Magsaysay. Meanwhile, the other four NCR PSOs conducted the same activity within their area of jurisdiction that includes the Cities of Manila, Makati, Pasay, and Caloocan. 

On its 33^rd-year celebration, this year’s CRM has the theme “PSA @ 10: Providing Efficient and Effective Civil Registration and Vital Statistics through Digital Transformation”. The theme signifies PSA’s commitment to continuously advocate and support the improvement of the country’s Civil Registration and Vital Statistics.

The month-long celebration of the 33^rd CRM will be highlighted also with different Civil Registration and Vital Statistics activities to be undertaken separately by all NCR Offices with some of these activities will be carried out in coordination with the Local Civil Registry Offices (LCROs) and other stakeholders.  Among these activities include mobile registration, civil registration quiz, slogan contest, exhibits, CRVS infographics contest, poster making contest, seminar, etc. 

The annual observance of CRM is pursuant to Proclamation No. 682 “Declaring the Month of February of Every Year as Civil Registration Month” issued by then President Corazon C. Aquino dated January 28, 1991.  This year, the observance of CRM was supported by PSA Memorandum Circular No. 2023-01 enjoining the participation of all in the 33^rd CRM Celebration.
