(33^rd Civil Registration Month Interschool Contests Participants together with the Board of Judges)

CITY OF MAKATI, Philippines – In celebration of the 33rd Civil Registration Month (CRM), the Philippine Statistics Authority National Capital Region Provincial Statistical Office III (PSA NCR PSO III) conducted the CRM Interschool Contests which consists of Poster Making Contest for Junior High School students and Spoken Poetry Contest for Senior High School students.

Representatives from the Cities of Makati, Taguig and Pasig were able to attend the contests held at PSA NCR PSO III, 7464 Bagtikan St., San Antonio, Makati, Philippines last February 28, 2023, from eight o’clock in the morning until four o’clock in the afternoon.

The activity was held in a hybrid setting, where those who were not able to physically attend the awarding ceremony, specifically those who had classes in the afternoon, were provided a zoom link where they would be able to be virtually recognized.

Talented students showcased their artistic capabilities in the morning as the Poster Making Contest was the first event for the day. The sixteen (16) participants decorated their blank canvass of their interpretation to the theme of the 33rd CRM.

In the afternoon, the inner Shakespeare of the students participating in the Spoken Poetry Contest was challenged. The audience were in awe as the storytelling and expressions of the nine (9) participants concluded. The skills of the participants in the contest were far beyond their age.

The judges appreciated the creativity of all the participants, however, there were still those who stood out above the rest. Among them, Ms. Kaye L. Calamba from Taguig National High School was the victor for the Poster Making Contest while Ms. Rean Vience S. Elvambuena from Nemesio I. Yabut Senior High School was champion for the Spoken Poetry Contest. The awarding ceremony recognized those who became champions, but all the attendees were achievers.
