Commuters at MRT-3 Taft Avenue Station take advantage of the on-site National ID booth—where daily travel meets essential ID services. Registration, paper ID issuance, and digital ID assistance all in one convenient stop
Pasay City, 14 August 2025 - The Philippine Statistics Authority – National Capital Region – Provincial Statistical Office V (PSA-NCR-PSO V) successfully conducted a Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) registration activity at the MRT-3 Taft Avenue Station, in partnership with the Department of Transportation (DOTr) and MRT-3, as part of the ongoing “Libreng Sakay Program.”
This initiative aims to bring National ID registration closer to commuters, making it more accessible and convenient for thousands of daily passengers. By setting up a registration booth at one of Metro Manila’s busiest transit hubs, PSA NCRV supports the government’s push for inclusive and efficient public service delivery.
Empowering Commuters Through Identity
The collaboration aligns with the DOTr and MRT-3’s “Libreng Sakay Program,” which offers free rides to passengers every Wednesday for the whole month of August. The presence of the National ID registration booth complements this effort by encouraging commuters to register for their National ID—an essential tool for accessing government services, financial inclusion, and social protection programs.
On-Site Registration Highlights
