Pasay City, 03 May 2024 – In commemoration of the 122nd Labor Day celebration, the cities of Las Piñas, Parañaque, and Pasay came together to host a Mega Job Fair on Wednesday, May 1, 2024. The event, held at Robinsons Place in Las Piñas, Parañaque City Sports Complex in Parañaque, and SM Mall of Asia in Pasay, aimed to provide extensive opportunities for job seekers across the region.

Aligned with the Department of Labor and Employment's (DOLE) nationwide initiative themed "Job Fairs sa Bagong Pilipinas: Manggagawang Pilipino, Kabalikat at Kasama sa Pag-asenso," the Mega Job Fair emphasized collaboration and inclusivity in bolstering the nation's workforce.

Integral to the initiative was the participation of the Philippine Statistics Authority-National Capital Region-Provincial Statistical Office V (PSA-NCR-PSO V), which played a pivotal role in offering PhilSys services at the event. PhilSys, a cornerstone national project, aims to provide universal identification for all Filipino citizens and resident aliens. At the Mega Job Fair, the PSA-NCR-PSO V established dedicated booths where attendees could register for their National ID or obtain copies of their ePhilID, thereby enriching their job application credentials.

This proactive approach by the PSA underscores its commitment to bridging the gap between government services and Filipino workers, thereby streamlining processes and empowering individuals in their pursuit of employment opportunities.
