08 May 2024 │The Philippine Statistics Authority-National Capital Region Provincial Statistical Office I (PSA-NCR PSO I) along with the City Statistics Committee (CiSC) and Census-CBMS Coordinating Board (CCCB) of Mandaluyong City convened for the conduct of the 2024 Census of Population and Community-Based Monitoring System (POPCEN-CBMS) and various matters, including the Cost Estimate for PSA-led CBMS Operational Arrangement, Barangay Profiling, Provincial Product Accounts (PPA) Update, and PSA-LGU Data Sharing (PLDS) at Mandaluyong City Hall. 

The convening was presided over by Engr. Armando T. Comandao, the City Planning and Development Coordinator of Mandaluyong City. Also in attendance were the heads and designated representatives from various Local Government Unit (LGU) offices, representatives from the Department of Education (DepEd), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Philippine National Police, and other stakeholders, alongside personnel from PSA NCR PSO I.

Ms. Amelia G. Basilio, Chief Statistical Specialist-OIC, of PSA NCR PSO I, delivered the overview and key details about the 2024 POPCEN-CBMS, including the roles and duties of CCCB members and possible assistance from the LGU for the 2024 POPCEN-CBMS operation. Followed by the presentation of Mr. James Carsonn S. Siscar, Senior Statistical Specialist of PSA NCR PSO I, who discussed the Cost Estimate for the PSA-led CBMS Operational Arrangement. He also gave a brief introduction to the forms utilized for Barangay Profiling. Afterward, Ms. Kristelle Mae L. Pagaduan, Statistical Specialist II of PSA NCR PSO I, reported the status of the PPA Data Requirements Annexes. Mr. Jing C. Rocabo, Senior Statistical Specialist of PSA RSSO NCR delivered the presentation on the PLDS for Business Registers Project initiatives.

PSA NCR PSO I, in collaboration with the Mandaluyong City Statistics Committee, will supervise the diverse initiatives of the PSA in 2024, particularly focusing on the forthcoming 2024 POPCEN-CBMS.
